Maintaining our high standards of care

Benachie Playgroup is celebrating with ‘high fives’ following the Care Inspectorate’s unannounced Inspection visit just before Christmas last year.

Having been assessed on four areas of performance across our service, we have maintained our very high standards of care by being awarded ‘5’s  – Very Good – across the following areas:colorful little hand

  • Quality of Care and Support
  • Quality of Environment
  • Quality of Staffing
  • Quality of Management and Leadership

Published this week, the inspector’s report remarked “…children were happy and secure within the playgroup and had very good relationships with the adults who looked after them.”

The report further added that staff were found to be “observant and good at listening to children.”

Benachie playgroup will continue to provide the high standard of care that our service has become synonymous with, and seek out ways to continuously improve our offering to children and families in the Dunfermline area.

The playgroup would also like to thank all parents who completed a ‘service user questionnaire’ which formed part of the inspection process.  Comments and feedback which were included in the report were extremely positive.  Providing quality experiences for play and learning in a caring environment, in which parents work in partnership with staff, is key to our ethos and aim of providing great outcomes for all of our children.

Let’s all give each other a ‘High Five’!
